About

My comic book The Count was created for the The USC Annenberg Innovation Lab.  I didn’t know anything  about the subject when I was approached to do something to promote the 2020 census. In my 22 years living in the US, I don’t think I ever really heard much about the whole enterprise and needless to say didn’t take part in any of the past censuses.

Reading about it, I quickly realized that it was the most boring most important subject of the times, something just as essential as elections but was barely spoken about in the media. In a period when everything is polarized to the extreme, the census is (or was until now) refreshlingly apolitical. It’s a tool truly aimed at serving the community at large and  an expression of what actually work in the US government.

My contribution to the effort is this, I hope, entertaining and informative comic. A big thank you to the good people of the Annenberg Lab for their time and knowledge of the issue and for proof reading the comic at each new version.

The Count is a free comic book.  If you like what you read, please distribute and share it with as many people as possible. Show it to your friends, your kids, grand kids, grand parents, your hamster! Spread the word!

Thank you for your time and go get counted!
